Eaton Fire Updates
What Happened
Expressions Church launched in Fall 2024. Just months later, in January 2025, the Eaton Fire destroyed their rented building. Along with their space, they lost all equipment, supplies, signage, furniture, and kids ministry resources.
How They Responded
Embraced the mindset of being the “church beyond the walls.”
Created a Fire Relief Sponsorship Program to support displaced families:
Up to $1,000 per month in financial assistance
Furniture, household items, and other essentials
Spiritual care and connection through partner churches
Became a hub for relief and recovery efforts in Pasadena and Altadena
How The Hub Supported
Thanks to the generous donations of our community, The Hub OC was able to provide $50,000 to Expressions Church to aid in the healing process of this tragedy.
This support allowed them to relocate to an inactive Friends Church facility, which they transformed into:
A center of relief tools and resources
A meeting place for relief teams
A space of spiritual support for community members
After months of gathering in this location, Expressions Church was officially ordained into the Friends Church denomination and has established their church permanently in this space.
The Ongoing Impact
Your generosity is helping Expressions Church turn devastation into transformation—creating a lasting place of hope, restoration, and spiritual care for a community deeply affected by the Eaton Fire.
