Addressing the Child Care Desert
A child care desert is a community or residential area with so few licensed child care providers that there are more than 3 children per available child care slot, if a provider even exists. Families in these areas face hardships like waitlists, long commutes, and lost work hours. Orange, CA is one of these areas, and here are the unfortunate numbers:

The Hub Preschool will help address this problem in our community. Providing additional licensed child care slots for families in need of this crucial service. The preschool will offer licensed care for children ages 0-5 and subsidized tuition based on our families' needs.
In a partnership with Friends Church Orange, the Hub Preschool will launch in the newly acquired building directly across from the current church location. With a grant received from the Samueli Foundation, this building will be renovated and built specifically to address the needs of a licensed child care facility.
